Your privacy is imporant to us.
We want our clients to feel comfortable and secure. We strive to provide the
highest level of privacy and confidentiality possible. Therapy is conducted
behind multiple closed doors in a sound-insulated room, and client information
is stored in locking files. Patient confidentiality is regulated by the Health
Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, or HIPAA. In compliance
with this set of regulations, we provide our clients with a set of documents
outlining privacy policies. If you would like to view these documents, you
may access them below.
It is important to realize that choosing to submit payment to an insurance
company inherently entails some loss of privacy. The insurance company will be
aware of your treatment and may under certain conditions
be required to share that information with other
health care providers. If absolute confidentiality is important to you,
we recommend paying by personal check.
